Siem Reap to Phnom Penh

I went to Cambodia and visited Siem Reap, Angkor, and Phnom Penh. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was an awesome trip.

FAVORITE THINGS I EXPERIENCED IN CAMBODIA

> The amazing temple ruins. I went there to visit Angkor Wat but all of the temples I visited were memorable. My favorites were The Bayon, Preah Kahn, and Ta Prom.

> Having to ride in a tuk-tuk everywhere. Here's one:

> Floating villages. I love them!

I didn't take either of those pictures above.

> The personable and often friendly Cambodians I met.

> Two enthusiastic dance performances: one by The Cambodian Children's House of Peace and the other by Cambodian Living Arts.

> Kids and dogs all over the place in Siem Reap.

> Monkeys and dogs all over the place in Angkor.

> Learning about the Khmer Empire.

> The food. Everything I ate was delicious. Similar to its neighbors Thailand (minus the chili pepper obsession) and Vietnam but with its own special tang. I liked all of the uses of the kampot black pepper (including in palm candy) and all of the fruit. One of the signature Khmer dishes is Amok Fish Curry, which is super tasty.

> Now this is a culture that really embraces flip-flops.
